Wonderful Resort located in the heart of Chianti Classico, only 30 minutes from Siena, the nearest large city and 15 minutes from Gaiole proposed by us in exclusive use, being ideal for a group of people who want to spend a relaxing vacation or celebrate an event. Chiantigaio can sleep until 28 persons in 14 double bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom, satellite TV, air-conditioning, mini-bar, hairdryer, telephone and safe. For this reason, you are assisted by local Staff and the gentle owner is a fantastic Cook who can help you realize unforgettable dinners teaching you the local recipes.
Daily Breakfast is included as also Room Maid and on request the Cook is available for lunch and dinner.
In the beautiful garden, floodlit at night, there is a swimming pool on two levels where you can relax surrounded by nature and natural water flowing nearby and also a Spa is available on request (to be paid on the spot)
For the kids, once the sun sets, a recreation room, with ping pong and a DVD library of English language children's films, offers continuous indoor entertainment.
The main building has a large living/dining room area on the ground floor and houses 10 bedrooms on three levels, while the adjacent annex 4 bedrooms, each with private entrance from the garden. All the Bedrooms are different and distinguished by particular and outstanding high-quality decoration and furnishings, such as wooden-beams and brick ceilings or completely wooden ceilings, valuable drapes, wrought iron beds, bathrooms with elegant ceramics, partly in rose marble, and for the most part with a whirlpool at the guest's disposal.

Area Information
The Resort lies in the heart of Chianti Classico area close to many castles, of which one of the most famous is the Castello di Brolio and some extremely old and interesting churches and abbeys. Some of the churches date back to mediaeval times, in particular the untouched romanesque parish churches such as the nearby Pieve di Spaltenna. Among the former abbeys in the area, the most famous and photogenic is Badia a Coltibuono and its restored classical Italian garden. Among the nearby towns and villages of interest are Volpaia, a village now almost entirely given over to wine production and home to several good restaurants and the charming wine town of Radda in Chianti. The landscape, recognisable as the background of countless Renaissance Madonnas, remains relatively unspoiled, dotted with ancient farmhouses which have been beautifully restored. The cities of Florence and Siena harbour almost too many familiar cultural references, but medieval hill-top villages such as Montalcino and Pienza seem completely untouched by time. Foodies will rejoice at the superlative Tuscan food and wine on offer in the many restaurants and wine bars.

The resort was fabulous! Service was excellent, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, food was good, Grounds were well manicured and clean, it was everything we hoped for. Beautiful space, I would stay here again. Please make it very clear for parties of 6 or more people that transportation must be in small cars only, as the villa sits on top of a hill and larger cars cannot drive up. (June 2018)
