At present, this ancient Castle is a top-level resort, situated in one of the most suggestive landscapes of Southern Tuscany on the top of a hill, just 15 minutes from Siena. You can relax and enjoy the wonderful view also from the swimming pool overlooking the countryside. With its 20 air conditioned Bedrooms (10 standard double, 4 deluxe double, 3 junior suites, 3 suites) with ensuite bathrooms and fantastic views of the rolling hills, it can host till 50 people. It includes also a beautiful restaurant renowned for its high quality cuisine prepared following ancient traditional Tuscan recipes, a Meeting Center and a Wellness Area. The Resort is elegant yet warm and friendly, ideal place for the celebration of weddings and events. From April until late October, wedding ceremonies and events catering for a maximum of 200 guests can be held in the internal courtyard of the Castle beneath the shade of well furnished Gazeboes. The charming frescoed halls of the restaurant are perfect for important receptions and banquets seating up to 100 people. Area Information
Situated in a rural location, this Resort is within 15 km from Siena centre in the heart of the Crete Senesi area, which literally means Sienese Clays. This is a great place to go if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. This is an area mainly characterised by pure and untouched nature; hills, woods, waters and a semi-desert, breaking up the green landscape that is typical of Tuscany. Still untouched until today, the clays appear as a lunar landscape; this area was covered by sea about 2,5 million years ago.
A great amount of picturesque villages can also be found here, however. A good example of such a village would be Asciano, where you will find a variety of historical monuments. But also Buonconvento, Montalcino and Pienza
In this area you can find several spa towns like Rapolano Terme only 15 minutes from the Castle

Picture yourself in a century-old castle high on a hill in the heart of Tuscany. Your surroundings are those of a majestic Monet painting. Birds humming, and the smell of fresh croissants fills the air. A cup of hot cappucino is being brought to you by the most professional but always smiling and always friendly staff .No you're not dreaming; you and your family of 30 are guests at Villa nelle Crete. Every room has an ensuite bathroom with daily maintenance and fresh towels. The kitchen and restaurant offer some of the best meals in Italy and they are most attentive to dietary requirements. They even conducted a cooking class for all our nieces and nephews and had special food daily for our 1 and 6 year-old. The location makes it easy to travel into Siena, Montalcino, and all the hillside towns. And easy to get to the train station and Siena's car rental. You're stay here is a dream come true. You won't find a more attentive staff in all of Italy. Graziella, our Itinere contact, and Vincenzo, Elena,Julia, and the entire villa staff will see that you have the most enjoyable vacation ever. It's MAGICAL!
